BRIEF: Jerry Lee Lewis will join Hynde at benefit in Akron.

Sep. 11--The Civic Theatre benefit show on Saturday night featuring Akron homegirl Chrissie Hynde has added another Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.

Jerry Lee Lewis, aka The Killer, has been confirmed as a special guest performer on the bill that already features Hynde and local bands The Diffi-Cult, If These Trees Could Talk, Pat Sweany, Half Cleveland, The Bizzaros and 15-60-75 The Numbers Band.

Rock 'n' roll legend Lewis, who turns 72 on Sept. 29 and who released the well-received and star-studded Last Man Standing CD in 2006, is a longtime buddy of Hynde's and had been one of the many "special …
